I started to teach because I love projects that generate big ideas. Creating is one of the most enriching experiences any young child can experience. When I was a child my favorite subject was theater. I participated and starred in many of my school's shows so I understand the commitment it takes from your children. Arts education is my passion alongside science because I feel the two are intertwined through their demand for creative solutions.
Besides acting, I also have been in many bands throughout my young adult life. I play guitar, piano, bass, and I attempt (with all my heart) to drum. I've worked for New York advertising agencies, recorded albums in big studios, guest spotted on television, and have made many music videos. In other words, I have actual experience in this field along with a degree.
Besides performing, I am a mother to a beautiful daughter. Trusting me with your child Is an honor and not one I take likely. Being a parent can be nerve racking, and trying to work with your child can be difficult. I am here to be a consultant on how to navigate the performing arts. I can write middle school and high school recommendations for children who respect the work we do In class. Please utilize me to help your child be successful In the performing arts.
Throughout the years, my efforts have turned to teaching because I see the need for it in our youth to have teachers who are current artists, or who have a working knowledge of "how to" now. Since I make, create, and produce my own material, I hope to spread the information onto our next generation. DIY is my motto and I look forward to meeting parents soon!
