Abstract
IO Informatics is a software and services vendor in the field of data integration and knowledge representation for Healthcare and Life Sciences with expertise in using Semantic Web technologies. IO Informatics will present an overview of the company, software and services offered, with a focus on near-term development direction, architecture and potential for growing complements with NCBO. Robert Stanley (CEO) will present business and scientific use cases of select customer stories and their use of IOI's Knowledge Explorer and WebQuery tools. Dr. José Cruz-Toledo (Director of Engineering) will also be providing a presentation and demo on IOI's new platform codenamed "KITE", planned for release in Fall 2015. The review will focus on architecture, methods for integration, application development and distribution, building on innovative semantic and NoSQL technologies. Goals are to provide technical content for mutual education, feedback and discussion, with topics of interest including existing and future uses of NCBO Bioportal resources.
