Teaching and training

Teaching in Higher Education

I have 15 years experience of teaching at all levels of higher education - from Undergraduate to PhD. I am very passionate about teaching and learning, having been not only a lecturer, but also Course Director of two UG programmes and Associate Dean for Education at Cass Business School.

I normally teach courses that cover the various aspects of econometrics (from basic courses to more advanced ones, from probability and statistics to forecasting).

Training and consulting

In addition to this, I have been a freelance trainer for the past 10 years (at least), working with Timberlake Ltd and teaching econometrics using EViews.

As well as several on-site training courses, I have been teaching some open courses (see below). These are usually designed for practitioners in the industry who wish to brush up or acquire new knowledge, and who may or may not be familiar with EViews; in the past few years, however, I have also had many PhD students, who came as part of their training. I think that the open courses which I run provide doctoral students with a good introductory, or more advanced (depending on the course) knowledge on econometric methodology and on the software; and they also enhance the students teaching skills, as an interesting by-product.

This is a list of the open courses I am about to run: if you want to know more, click on the relevant link, or feel free to email me:
