• 본 발명은 계층적 전송을 이용한 인터넷 방송 시스템 및 인터넷 방송 방법에 관한 것으로, 본 발명에 의한 인터넷 방송은 소정 갯수의 단말기가 접속할 수 있도록 하고, 상기 소정 개수를 초과하는 접속 시도 단말기들은 서버 또는 단말기에서 하위 단말기들로 접속을 유도하여 항상 같은 속도로 데이터를 전송받을 수 있도록 하여 서버의 용량을 증가시키지 않고도 통신 부하 없이 대용량의 방송 서비스가 가능하도록 한다. 본 발명은 서버를 최상위로 하고 서버에 접속되는 단말기의 수를 한정하고, 한정된 수 이상의 단말기가 접속을 요청할 경우 이미 접속되어 있는 하위 단말기들중 어느 한 단말기로 접속을 유도하여 접속되어 있는 단말기들이 데이터 전송의 중계기 역할을 하게 함으로써 서버 용량의 증가 없이도 원하는 모든 인터넷 방송 이용자들에게 양질의 방송을 제공할 수 있는 효과가 있다. 또, 본 발명에 따른 분산 IP 멀티캐스팅을 이용한 인터넷 방송 시스템 및 인터넷 방송 방법은, 인터넷 방송용 서버에 매우 적은 수의 단말기에게만 직접 데이터를 송신하면 되므로 서버의 통신 부하를 매우 줄일 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 IP 멀티캐스팅을 이용하여 방송을 수신할 수 있는 단말기의 숫자를 대폭적으로 늘일 수 있다.
