The spreadsheet will show all the teams and their games in your division. As the coaches report their scores, you simply input those scores in the appropriate area on the spreadsheet - so hypothetically, if the "Celtic" beat the "Angles" 1 - 0, then write 1 next to Celtic and 0 next to Angels in the left columns below, and then in the right column you put a 1 in the Wins column for the Celtic and a 0 in the WIns column for Angles. Note that the standings section of the spread sheet is MANUAL and requires an update for wins, losses, and ties each week.
To create, go to:
Scheduling / Schedule Reports / Game Reports
Do each division separately, use unicode paste into new spreadsheet. Copy format and formulas from last years sheet. Save in XLS format 97 - 2003.

June 7, 2009: Time to call the prospective coaches, and here are the things to ask:
- every coach will need to be contacted by phone, and the following information passed:
• Introduce yourself as a Division Coordinator for the upcoming Fall 2009 OMM season (and also mention the name of your co-coordinator)
• Confirm again that they are available to be a (head or assistant) coach in the upcoming season in this division (be sure to name the division, sometimes we get boys registered as girls, vice versa)
• If there is an Assistant Coach noted, confirm the name and if they know each other - if not, give them the other coaches contact info
• If there is no Assistant Coach assigned, ask them if they know of anyone who they would like to coach with. Remind them that we will be holding coach training classes in July & August, no previous soccer experience is required, and that the only way to ensure two kids from different families can play together would be to have their parents coaching. An Assistant Coach can be added now, but not after teams are created (which will happen very shortly).
• There will be an area for Comments on the Google Doc - feel free to write in any comments (such as "would prefer another Assistant Coach", "Child is playing in travel, can't coach", etc.) Please make sure the comments are clear-we will be creating teams based on these notes.
• If they request an Assistant Coach who is not on the list already, simply add a row below their name, write in as much info as you can and then make a note in the comments area ("Need to confirm they have a child registered", etc.)
• There can be no more than two coaches (1 Head, 1 Assistant) assigned to a team- there are absolutely no requests accepted for additional players. We are fair and consistent with this- do not open the door and say "I'll ask..."- if we can’t do for all, we will not do for some.
• We'll use a color system to highlight each coaches status (you can highlight the coaches row using the numbered column on the far left of the doc, then select the color from the color box in the menu bar at the top of the doc)
- Green = all good, ready to go
- Yellow = need to address an item (usually noted in the Comments column)
- Red = cannot coach this season
- Blue = they signed up to volunteer but didn't indicate for what (coach, asst. coach or volunteer)
- White = has yet to be contacted
- the goal here is confirm that we have at least one coach for each team
- please coordinate with your co-DC to split up the list
- DEADLINE: ALL COACHES NEED TO BE CONTACTED NO LATER THAN THIS THURSDAY, JUNE 11
Thanks All! The goal here is for you to make contact with your coaches, start the confirmation process and ensure we have enough coaches for each team before we build the teams. This is a critical part of the OMM Season - and we appreciate your effort!
