ACTION -Please read the templates (attached to bottom) - and sent comment/tweaks/acknowledgement to CT at latest by Tuesday. Earlier is better.

Template for reporting action steps for LA&S
Eads - Topic one (Undergraduate Recuitment)
Fortner - Topic two (Engaged Learning)
Winkler/Chmaissem - Topic three (Classroom experience and curriculum)

ACTION - Please talk to faculty/etc and document in your template what we have relevant to these areas, and be ready with good ideas for additional effective actions department might support or encourage, particularly with respect to topic 1 and 2.
(10/26 I still need to get electronic copies. When I do I will post. Note hard copies were passed out in Oct 4 meeting)
Course catalog (easy fix up changes)
fix any reference to Phys 250A, 260, etc in the catalog (eliminate it)
- consensus was go ahead with this
remove Phys 252
- consensus was that we cannot do this yet
actions CT will talk again to chem/bio to warn them it is not being offered so they can change their catalog
department will not offer it next semester (for sure this time! in principle we had stopped offering it about a year ago but somehow it did not disappear from the listing)
course that will be specifically UG research - maybe use Phys 472(change description)
- this will help also keeping track of UG research experiences
Other business
- check into math courses topics - what we think we need for Phys 253/273 and what they are getting?
