Biography
A.J. Umbarkar received his Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Computer Engineering from PICT, Pune in 1999 and his Master of Engineering (ME) from Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) from WCE, Sangli. PhD (CSE) from Government College Engineering, Aurangabad.
Currently he is working as an Dean R&D and Asst. Professor/Professor (Institute CAS) in the Department of Information Technology. He has been serving at Walchand College of Engineering, Sangli, since 2004.
He has a total 24+ years of experience of teaching at UG and PG level teaching experience. He has published 50+ articles (journals and national and international conferences). He attended 16+ International conferences in India and abroad. In IPR, he has 02 Patent Published and 01 Patent granted and a trademark filed

He is reviewer for IEEE, Elsevier, ACEEE journals in the area of soft computing. He worked as a program committee member as well as reviewer for many international conferences. He working as member BOS for CSE/IT/AIML for various government and private autonomous colleges like GCE Karad, VIIIT Pune, KIT, Kolhapur, RIT Sakharale , SIT Yadrav, PVPIT, DYP Deemed University, Kolhapur, etc. He is staff advisor of Technical WLUG club. He is affiliated with Red Hat Training Academy (RHA) as a trainer.
He is professionally affiliated with many professional bodies like IEEE senior member, Indian Institutes of technical Education (ISTE), Advanced Computing & Communications Society (ACCS) and Computer Society of India (CSI) as Life member, Association of Computer Electronics and Electrical Engineers (ACEEE), (International Association of Computer Science and Information Technology (IACSIT),International Association of Engineers (IAENG), Institute of Doctors Engineers and Scientists membership (IDES) and Machine Intelligence Research Lab., USA.
