Once upon a journey, upon wondering and wandering, Princess began to take notice of her world. As she journeyed through the villages she noticed what everybody had, or had not. Princess rather liked to walk through the places of those who had lots. "Oh, there are so many beautiful things in the world."
Continuing her walk over the mountains and through the valleys, and by all the material riches people had, Princess began to think. She thought, 'All these people have all these nice things and this is all I have." Princess held her head down low.
Her walk slowed down. Instead of admiring the beauty she saw, she began to envy what others had. She became very sad.
Her sadness took her deep into a valley where she felt very alone and unworthy.
Wondering why she couldn't have those nice things too, Princess stopped to ponder by a pool of water.
Putting all her attention on her reflection, the water in the pool became very deep from self pity and whirl pooled her into a viscous cycle. Princess began to drown.
"Help!", she cried, "Help!", "Help!"
An angel appeared.
"Fear not child," said the angel; "Your treasure is within."
Princess's attention was drawn away from fear, through curiosity, to her pouch.
Princess reached in and withdrew a beautiful multi-faceted jewel. Naturally, as her thoughts and emotions turned direction, so did the winds and the waters, and she was returned to the shore.
Still in awe with her newly discovered gift, Princess continued to journey. As she journeyed, she played with her jewel, reflecting the light this way and that.
Upon entering the next village, Princess realized everyone had a pouch, but no one payed attention to it.
When she was seen playing with the light she was asked to put away her jewel as it was distracting to the normal sense of things.
Knowing this was not right, Princess left the village. Her next journey was through the forest.
It was hard to catch the light in the darkened world of such thick, tall, trees, ...but as the wind played with the trees, and the leaves played their shadows, Princess learnt there was light in the darkness, and remembering the village she realized there was darkness in the light.
Princess forgave the world for rejecting inner nature and denying its worth.
