Welcome to Christ Church Primacy where we have since 1983 had two congregations, one Methodist the other Church of Ireland sharing in one location. Many of the church youth organisations and our outreach in this place have been jointly run. 

However, the year 2023, marks our 40th anniversary of shared witness in this place. The leadership of both our congregations believe that this is a significant milestone and that this year will become for us, ‘The Year of the Lord’s favour’.  It also presents an opportunity for new beginnings as we journey together. We, therefore have been asking the question of one another, ‘What does this year mean for both our churches’?  More importantly we are asking, in what ways can we best both work together, to build the Kingdom in this place and be a joint witness to our community?

It is therefore, significant that the Methodist Church Council and the Church of Ireland Select Vestry have both decided that as from July 2023 that we will have one unifed service of Sunday Worship reflecting both our traditions. The services will commence at 1030 am each Sunday.

We are a welcoming church with a joint congregation drawn from many backgrounds and traditions. We also have cafe church on the first Sunday of every month.
