We have purchased Arduino Robots and Texas Instruments Robotics System Learning Kit (RSLK) Advanced for this project. These are low-cost differential drive mobile robot platforms that support cheap obstacle detection sensors such as infrared. A fuzzy logic based obstacle avoidance algorithm is being developed using Matlab and will be applied to these robots.
