Career Objective

I'm interested in being part of an innovative team that values diversity, inclusion, flexible work, and health and wellbeing. I'm a results oriented person and look forward to achieving positive outcomes for an organisation in a timely manner. I currently have the right to work in Fiji, New Zealand, and Australia. 

My objective is contribute towards the development of innovative solutions to engineering problems related to the Asia Pacific region. Solutions which are elegant, optimise cost, use future technologies, are user friendly, and can sustain culture are highly preferred. My interests are in the design and development of electronic and computer systems for control, automation, mechatronics, and robotics. Most of my work experience has been as an engineering researcher/educator/trainer. In this role, I have mentored students and worked collaboratively on projects in robotics and mechatronics.

Being a focussed, self-disciplined, and consistent worker, I possess the ability to deliver outputs in a timely manner. ·       Thesis entitled “Development of an Artificial Intelligence System for the Instruction and Control of Cooperating Mobile Robots”, involved the design, implementation and evaluation of a multi-robot system for an exploration task.

·       Received a Commonwealth PhD Scholarship funded by NZAID for study

·       Best paper presentation award at the Electronics New Zealand Conference, 2005

Postgraduate Diploma in Engineering Technology

·       Major course project entitled “PC/Microcontroller Based Drilling Machine: Interfacing board, clamping solenoid amplifier and feedback circuits”, involved the design, implementation and evaluation of the interfacing board and feedback circuits of an automatic drilling machine.

·       Gold Medal and the Fiji Fish Company Prize for the outstanding student graduating in a Postgraduate Diploma programme

·       Major project entitled “Reconditioning of ASEA MHU Junior Robot”, involved the hardware repair, control system design and implementation using microcontroller and PLC for a robot pick and place task.

·       Gold Medal and the Punja & Sons Prise for the outstanding student graduating with a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering
