My name is Pranav Singh.
I'm a first year Linguistics and Computer Science major at UCLA (class of '21). I have a very vested interest in language processing, linguistics, translation, and computer science. Right now, I'm reading through the current working textbook by Stanford professor Daniel Jurafsky that is essentially meant to be the backbone of language processing in today's world.
That textbook can be found here.
I'm currently an entering research assistant in the Linguistics Lab at UCLA, where we run psycholinguistic studies to further our understanding of spoken language and associated eye-tracking, and also some corpus analysis on the side.
Coursework:
Linguistics 1 (Introduction to the Study of Language)
Linguistics 20 (Introduction to Linguistic Analysis)
Mathematics 32A & 32B (Multivariable Calculus)
Mathematics 61 (Discrete Mathematics)
Computer Science 31 (Introduction to Computer Science I)
Computer Science 32 (Data Structures and Algorithms)
Statistics 10 (Introduction to Statistical Reasoning)
To view what I've done in a more digestible format, here's my resume.
Currently on this website, I'm creating a course reader for the textbook I'm reading, meant for people who want to understand the book even further, or simply read a more concise version of it.
