Research

(Engage with us to work on frontier areas of materials science for a sustainable solution)

Broad Area of Interest:

1. Porous Coordination Polymers (PCPs)/MOFs

2. Catalysis using MOFs/PCPs

3. Improvement of API performance/Formulation of APIs

We work primarily on metal-organic frameworks or porous coordination polymers, popularly known as MOFs or PCPs. MOFs are hybrid materials, often porous and are constructed by linking metals and ligands to generate either 1D, 2D or 3D structures. Our current research focuses on using PCPs/MOFs as catalyst for performing various organic reactions in a cost-effective way. Another aspect of the group is to use hybrid porous materials for improving performance of active pharmaceutical ingredients or APIs.
