Earlier he was Assistant Professor (Agricultural Economics) at Agricultural College and Research Institute, Madurai and Horticultural College and Research Institute, Periyakulam of TNAU.
He was Post Doctoral Fellow in Centre for Management in Agriculture, Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad during 2009.
His area of specialization is Agricultural Market and International Trade.
He received the gold medal and best thesis research award in the discipline of Agricultural Economics for his doctoral research during 2007-08.
He participated and presented research papers in various international conferences by obtaining prestigious grants viz., Rockefeller, USA Grant for participation and paper presentation in InterDrought II, 2005 at Rome, Italy and GRIPS-IAAE Grant for participation and paper presentation in IAAE, 2006 at Gold Coast, Australia.
His focus is towards quantitative research and to provide simplified solutions to market and farmers production problems...
and also involved in teaching Agricultural Economics (theory and applications) at PG and PhD levels.
