- Report on Gates Foundation funded pedagogy research in collaboration with ACE
10:15 - 10:45 a.m.
- Break into groups of six to eight (four to five groups)
- Each group begins by completing a SWOT form to identify the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of MOOCs to their own insitutions
- Work through the process of selecting a topic, identifying prospective student groups, faculty members, LMS, outcomes, assessment strategies and credit/badge options (these discussions help participants to more deeply understand the issues and opportunities in making MOOCs)
- Presenters circulate to assist the groups with the exercise
10:45 - 10:55 a.m.
10:55 - 11:15 a.m.
- Groups complete a summary report, select presenter
11:15 - 11:45 a.m.
- Each group makes five minute presentation and opens brief follow-up discussion with group at large
11:45 - 12:00 p.m.
- Presenters summarize the session, point to additional resources, and conduct poll to select the best group presentation
