We are a student subunit of the American Fisheries Society affiliated with Idaho State University.
Mission: To provide students (Graduates and Undergraduates) that are in and/or interested in the fields of fisheries and stream ecology, a platform to interact, learn, and grow as scientists and stewards of the waterways we call home.
We accomplish this through gatherings where we:
1) Discuss current topics of interest in our field
2) Participate in and organize outreach events and conservation projects in our community in southeast Idaho
3) Bring in professionals from our field for seminars and workshops
Anyone interested in our mission is welcome to join and can reach out to us by emailing: portneuf.afs@gmail.com
