Global Human Rights Defence
My team consists of 4 students: Skip van Weelden (me), Zeno Mirkovic, Safae Boussanna and Ana Giljaca. Our assignment is Global Human Rights Defence (GHRD).
The group´s assignment has been given by the non-governmental organization named Global Human Rights Defense. This assignment consists of several sub-assignments that will be completed throughout the year.
This team is the only group from the annual layer to deal with a year assignment.
This means that they will carry out this assignment under the supervision of the same client during an entire school year, in their case for Global Human Rights Defense.
Normally this is not the proposition, because all of the teams are supposed to do two assignments in the fifth grade, which means they all come into contact with two clients.
But because of the quality of this assignment, the group has decided together with their teachers, to make it a full year project.
Two deliverables are planned for October.
One is an online web base workshop, given by Global Human Rights Defence. It will take place on October 23rd.
The second deliverable on the to-do list in October is the preparation of two interviews, which the team will conduct with two MPs. The interviews will take place on 15 November 2020.
After all these completed deliverables, the team will work towards the big day: International Human Rights Day. Which will take place on December 10, 2020, in the Peace Palace in The Hague.
On this date Global Human Rights Defence (GHRD) will also launch their new concept; Global Human TV.
The schedule for 2021 is unstable due to corona. But the team has already received a foretaste of the likely partial assignments that they will carry out then.
In January there will be meetings with organizations and donors.
In February they will travel to Geneva for live interviews with the United Nations.
And finally, in March they will go to Brussels, to attend a meeting with other young European people.
