Biographical sketch
Giordano Pola is Associate Professor at the University of L’Aquila (Italy) in the Department of Information Engineering, Computer Science and Mathematics (DISIM) and also affiliated with the Center of Excellence for Research Design methodologies of Embedded controllers, Wireless interconnect and Systems-on-chip (DEWS). He received his Ph.D. in 2004 from the University of L’Aquila in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. In 2002/2003 he was visiting scholar at the University of Cambridge (UK). In 2003 he was assistant researcher and in 2004 research fellow at the University of Twente (The Netherlands). In 2005-2006 he was postdoctoral researcher at the University of L'Aquila, and in 2006-2007, postdoctoral researcher at the University of California at Los Angeles (USA). He was Assistant Professor at the University of L'Aquila from 2008 to 2018. He is a Senior Member of the IEEE
Research interests
Modelling, analysis and control of embedded, networked and distributed cyber-physical systems, mathematical systems theory, with applications to biological systems, vehicular platoons, air traffic management systems and quantitative finance
