Riparian Forest Restoration

This is a complementary park to Pohatcong Native Arboretum located twelve miles downstream at 50 Municipal Drive, Pohatcong Township, NJ. March 2001

The dominant tree and understory species are Sycamore, Sugar Maple, Swamp White Oak, Ironwood, Nannyberry, and Arrowwood.

This riparian forest restoration park is next to Pohatcong Township Municipal Building.

A series of riparian restoration projects were designed and implemented in Montgomery and Hillsborough Townships, while project manager in 1997 at Stony Brook-Millstone Watershed Association. All of this began with a $4,000 grant from the William Penn Foundation!
