Paulo de Tarso Neves Junior, D. Sc.Received in 1998 the Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering from the Federal University of Espirito Santo (UFES), Brazil.

He has the M.Sc. and the D.Sc. degrees in Electrical Engineering and Industrial Informatics from the Federal University of Technology - Parana (UTFPR), Brazil, received in 2004 and 2008, respectively.

Since 2009 he is a Professor-Researcher of Electronics Engineering at UTFPR.

He has particular expertise in electrical, electronics and photonics engineering.

His research interests include optical communications, numerical methods applied to wave propagation, Fiber Bragg Gratings and acousto-optic devices.
