Danal’s work is informed by a lifetime of exploration in movement. He is a well-respected and knowledgeable teacher with over 30 years of experience in movement. His strength strikes from his diverse background of Contemporary dance, choreography and Pilates.
Danal teaches group Pilates classes in leading London’s Centre’s, including rehabilitation centre’s such as Fusion and the Vale Practice in Goldsmith’s College.
He also teaches one to one, private sessions drawing from his background Danal has created his own unique way of working which he incorporates in his teaching. He is fully qualified OCR level 2 planning and teaching mat based Pilates and Garuda apparatus level 1. Certificate in moving from core stability to dramatic connectivity (Laban Pilates workshop programme)
He is fully insured and CRB checked.
British born choreographer, performer, teacher and video director, Danal has worked in Europe and for many years. His Company “ Trinacria Teatro Danza” and “ Compagnia Guarnera Guy” has won many awards, including the “ International Choreographic Award “ Groninghen , The Netherlands and “ Leaders for London Millennium Award”, UK.
Performing extensively in UK and Europe, Danal teaches Pilates, contemporary dance (release based), choreography, improvisation, contact /body work. His interest lies on modern Pilates, bringing him to expand his approach to Pilates studying with stimulating teachers such as James De Silva to expand his visual approach to functional bodies.
