A free demo version of PMI for clinical users can be downloaded here. It contains tools for image import/export, visualisation and segmentation, as well as a perfusion menu with a range of models for the analysis of DCE-MRI, DSC-MRI and DCE-CT. The source code of PMI is available through github.

System PMI is only available for windows, and requires a free IDL virtual machine to run. An old IDL version 6.3 is sufficient, but a more recent version can be obtained here.

Documentation The graphical user interface is fairly self-explanatory and documentation is limited. A set of personal notes can be found here, along with some tutorials for installing PMI, importing and displaying DICOM data, and defining regions of interest.

Notes The perfusion methods in the demo version are optimised for robustness and can be applied widely. However, for best results an analysis protocol must always be optimised for individual applications, eg. by including sequence-specific signal models, partial-volume corrections, etc. In some cases, the author may provide customised PMI buttons in the context of a scientific collaboration.
