A Statement on COVID-19

The Editorial Team at Planning Theory and Practice recognises the unprecedented challenges resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic, and the personal and professional implications that this is having for each one of us.  It is appropriate that we reassess our individual and collective priorities in the face of this highly demanding situation.  This reappraisal of priorities, of course, also applies to those involved in the publication of Planning Theory and Practice, whether editors, journal staff, authors, reviewers or publishers.  We appreciate that some authors, particularly early career scholars, will be anxious to see their papers in print, and we will do our best to facilitate the timely publication of contributions already in the pipeline.  We also recognise that many, including journal staff, editors authors and reviewers, have additional caring and other responsibilities at present, while some others have more time.  We are grateful to our authors and reviewers for your commitment to the journal, and are happy to offer flexibility if you need more time to complete your revisions or write a review.  As an Editorial Team we will do our best to maintain continuity, but we would ask for your patience.

Thank you for your understanding.  Stay healthy.

We publish original peer-reviewed articles at the cutting edge of research and theoretical developments in the field, and explore their radical and transformative implications for practice and policy-making.
