Please take care to look after the stream if it runs along the edge of your property. Even if it is not clear in your house deeds .

 It may be easiest to do some clearing work in the dryer summer months.  

The enforcement of maintenance of Pitney  stream is the role of Somerset Council as they are the LLFA (Lead Local Flood Authority).  Please see the advice  from Somerset Council here with regard to riparian responsibility for  the stream.
