How old (or young) can a youth be to join Cub Scouting?
Cub Scouting is for boys and girls in the kindergarten through fifth grades, or 5 to 10 years of age. Youth who are older than 10, or who have completed the fifth grade, can no longer join Cub Scouting, but they may be eligible to join the Boy Scouting or Venturing program.
How can I become an adult volunteer in Cub Scouting?
Express your interest to our Committee Chairperson or Cubmaster. They can help you understand the process and guide you on areas where the pack needs support. We very much welcome parent help.
Does my son or daughter need to attend Pierce Elementary School to be a member of Pack 134?
Absolutely not. While most members are student at Pierce, we have had scouts who are/were students from other schools in the area such as Isaac Newton Academy and Linn-Mar Elementary Schools, as well as, home schooling families. We welcome all boys and girls within the required age group regardless of their school affiliation.
