I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics of Pomona College (Claremont, California 91711, USA). I earned a Ph.D. degree in Economics at the Johns Hopkins University (Baltimore, Maryland 21218, USA) in May 2009. My research interests are in the fields of Empirical Macroeconomics and Finance, Econometrics, and Time Series Econometrics. I focus on issues relating to business cycle synchronization; the leading properties of the term structure of interest rates and yield spreads for real economic activity; the dynamic behavior of nominal interest rates and interest rate spreads and their relationship with the business cycle; and the statistical and cyclical characteristics of disaggregated international capital flows.
