I am a Professor in the Department of Economics at Pomona College (Claremont, California 91711, USA). I earned a Ph.D. degree in Economics at the Johns Hopkins University (Baltimore, Maryland 21218, USA) in May 2009.
My research interests are in the fields of Empirical Macroeconomics and Finance, Econometrics, and Time Series Econometrics.
I have focused on issues relating to (i) business cycle synchronization; (ii) the leading properties of the term structure of interest rates and of yield spreads; (iii) the dynamic behavior of nominal interest rates and interest rate spreads and their relationship with the business cycle; (iv) the statistical and cyclical characteristics of disaggregated international capital flows; and (v) the price dynamics of commodities and cryptocurrencies.
At Pomona College, I am currently serving as Associate Dean of the College for Curriculum and International Initiatives.
