What a Wonderful World
What a Wonderful World is a song written by George David Weiss and Bob Thiele (who sometimes used the pseudonym "George Douglas"). It was first recorded by Louis Armstrong and released as a single in 1968. Initially the song was a hit in the UK, but not the United States. The song has since become a worldwide standard, recorded by many artists and used in radio, television, and movies. Louis Armstrong's recording was inducted in the Grammy Hall of Fame in 1999.
