Through the Eyes of Love

Written by Marvin Hamlisch, The Eyes of Love is the theme song from the 1978 movie Ice Castles, in which it was sung by Melissa Manchester. The song was nominated for an Academy Award, and Ms. Manchester sang it at the 1979 Academy Awards show. The movie is an American romantic-drama star about the story of a young figure skater. A 2009 remake of the movie was released as a direct-to-DVD title shortly before the 2010 Winter Olympics.

Marvin Hamlisch (born in 1944) is an American composer. He is one of only thirteen people to have been awarded Emmys, Grammys, Oscars, and a Tony. He and Richard Rodgers are the only winners of those four awards to also win a Pulitzer Prize. Hamlisch has also won two Golden Globe Awards.
