The Six Viennese Sonatinas: Piano Transcriptions of Mozart's Wind Divertimentos K 439b

The Six Viennese Sonatinas are piano transcriptions of Mozart's 1783 Wind Divertimentos K 439b. It is not known for sure who made the transcription, but there is reason to believe that it was Ferdinand Kauer. Not as difficult to perform as the Mozart piano sonatas, these delightful works are often used as teaching pieces.

The music of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756 - 1791) is one of humanity's greatest treasures. Unsurpassed in its abundance of fascinating brilliant ideas and its immense breadth of emotion, it provides boundless joy to listeners and performers.
