The Power of Love is a song originally recorded in 1984 by Jennifer Rush, and written by Candy de Rouge (Wolfgang Detmann), Gunther Mende, and Jennifer Rush, with Mary Susan Applegate. It has been covered by several artists, including Laura Branigan, Air Supply, and Céline Dion.

The version by Céline Dion in 1993 was a huge international success, and was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance and an American Music Award for Favorite Pop/Rock Single. The song has been translated into several languages, and is a pop standard.
