The Heart Asks Pleasure First and Big My Secret are musical pieces from the 1993 Academy Award-winning film The Piano, the soundtrack of which was written by Michael Nyman, and which was nominated for the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Score and the BAFTA Award for Best Score.

Michael Nyman (born in 1944) is an English composer of minimalist music, pianist, librettist, and musicologist . He has composed movie-scores, operas, concerti, and chamber works.
