Éowyn's Dream, The King Of The Golden Hall

The Lord of the Rings film trilogy consists of three fantasy-adventure films: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001), The Two Towers (2002), and The Return of the King (2003). The trilogy is based on the three-volume book The Lord of the Rings by J. R. R. Tolkien. As of 2010, this work was the highest grossing motion picture trilogy of all time.

Howard Shore, born in Canada in 1946, composed and conducted the music for this film trilogy. He has composed the scores for over forty films, including The Fly and The Silence of the Lambs. His opera The Fly is based on the plot (though not his score) of David Cronenberg's 1986 film with the same name. Howard Shore has won three Academy Awards, two Golden Globe Awards, and four Grammy Awards.
