The Lonely Man
Composed by Joe Harnell, The Lonely Man is a piece for piano solo used at the beginning and closing credits in the television series The Incredible Hulk (1978 - 1982). The Lonely Man is included in the 1999 album The Incredible Hulk: Original Soundtrack Recording, and portions of The Lonely Man are used in the 2008 movie The Incredible Hulk.
Joe Harnell (1924 - 2005) was an American composer and arranger. He wrote the signature-tune used to introduce United Artists movies in the 1980s. A 1986 Emmy award winner for his music in the television series V, he wrote music for many other television series, including The Bionic Woman, The Incredible Hulk, Alien Nation, and Santa Barbara. His instrumental version of Bart Howard's famous 1954 song Fly Me to the Moon reached number-fourteen on the U.S. pop singles charts.
