The Great Pumpkin Waltz
The Great Pumpkin Waltz is the theme music for the 1966 prime-time animated television special It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, based on the comic-strip Peanuts by Charles M. Schulz. All music for the special was composed by Vince Guaraldi, and performed by the Vince Guaraldi Sextet.
It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown was nominated for a 1966 Emmy Award, and has been issued on home-video several times.
Vince Guaraldi (1928 - 1976) was an American jazz musician and pianist noted for his innovative compositions and arrangements, and for composing music for the Peanuts animations.
