"The Changing Seasons" is #9 on the soundtrack of Kiki's Delivery Service. It was composed by Joe Hisaishi, an influential figure in the Japanese film industry. He won the Japanese Academy Award for Best Music in 1992, 1993, 1994, 1999, 2000 and 2009. Kiki's Delivery Service (魔女の宅急便 "Witch's Delivery Service") is a Japanese animated fantasy film by Hayao Miyazaki. It was the fifth Studio Ghibli anime film. The film opened 1989 in Japanese theaters. winning the Animage Anime Grand Prix prize. It was the highest grossing film in Japan that year. It was the first Studio Ghibli movie released under the Disney/Studio Ghibli partnership. It premiered 1998 in the U.S. at the Seattle International Film Festival. The VHS video became the 8th-most-rented title at Blockbuster stores the first week upon release. This video sold over a million copies, and Entertainment Weekly rated it as Video of the 1998. It was the first video release to be reviewed as a normal film on Siskel and Ebert rather than on the "Video Pick of the Week" section. Roger Ebert ranked it as one of the best animated films of 1998.
