Sweet Child o' Mine

Sweet Child o' Mine is the third single by the rock band Guns N' Roses, and is included on its 1987 debut studio-album Appetite for Destruction. In 1988, the song topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart (United States), and reached number-six on the UK Singles Chart.

Sweet Child o' Mine placed at number-37 on Guitar World's list of the "100 Greatest Guitar Solos", and at number-196 on Rolling Stone's The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time. In 2005, Q Magazine ranked it at number-6 on its list of the 100 Greatest Guitar Tracks. The introduction's famous riff was voted the number-one riff of all-time by readers of Total Guitar magazine.

Guns N' Roses is an American hard-rock band, formed in 1985. The original members were lead-vocalist Axl Rose, lead-guitarist Slash, rhythm-guitarist Izzy Stradlin, bassist Duff McKagan, and drummer Steven Adler. The American Music Awards has given the band four awards, including Favorite Pop/Rock Single for Sweet Child o' Mine in 1989.
