Strangers in The Night

Based on a song written by Croatian singer and songwriter Ivo Robić, Strangers in the Night is a song composed by Bert Kaempfert, with lyrics by Charles Singleton and Eddie Snyder. It was the theme song for the 1966 movie A Man Could Get Killed, and it won the 1967 Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song in a Motion Picture.

Frank Sinatra's famous 1966 recording ranked number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, the Easy Listening chart, and the UK Singles Chart. It also won the 1967 Grammy Awards for Record of the Year and Best Male Pop Vocal Performance. Sinatra's famous ad-lib "Dooby dooby doo" was the inspiration for the name of Iwao Takamoto's popular cartoon dog Scooby-Doo.
