From the Princess Bride

Written by Willy Deville with lyrics by Mark Knopfler, Storybook Love is a song from DeVille's 1987 album Miracle, and from the soundtrack album of the 1987 movie The Princess Bride. The song was nominated for an Academy Award in 1987, and DeVille performed it at the Academy Awards telecast that year.

Willy Deville was an American singer and songwriter. His thirty-five year career began with his band Mink DeVille, and he composed songs in a variety of American musical styles.

Mark Knopfler (born in 1949) is a Scottish-born British guitarist, songwriter, record producer, and movie-score composer. He was lead guitarist and co-founder of the British rock-band Dire Straits. Knopfler has recorded and produced six albums, and has composed and produced scores for eight movies, including The Princess Bride.
