Anton Bruckner's Stille Betrachtung an einem Herbstabend (Quiet meditation on an autumn evening), WAB 123, in F-sharp minor, is a 58-bar piano work composed on 10 October 1863. The piece was influenced by Felix Mendelssohn's Venetianisches Gondollied (Venetian Boat Song), the sixth and final piece of Book 2 of his Lied ohne Worte (Song Without Words), Opus 30.

Anton Bruckner (1824 - 1896) was an Austrian composer and organist best known for his symphonies, masses, Te Deum (a religious work), and motets. In the 2001 Second Edition of The New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians, Mark Evan Bonds called the Bruckner symphonies "monumental in scope and design, combining lyricism with an inherently polyphonic design... ."
