La Chanson pour Anna

Song for Anna is an instrumental piece composed by André Popp for the Hawaian ukulele player Herb Ohta, whose 1973 recording with the Andre Popp Orchestra sold over 6 million copies. The piece has been recorded by other artists including French orchestra-leader Paul Mauriat and pianist Richard Clayderman.

André Popp (born in 1924) is a French composer, arranger, and screenwriter. He is perhaps most well-known for composing, with lyricist Pierre Cour, the 1967 song L'amour est bleu (Love Is Blue). Their song Tom Pillibi, sung by Jacqueline Boyer, was the winning song of the 1960 Eurovision Song Contest.
