"Sometimes When We Touch" is a 1977 ballad written by Dan Hill (lyrics) and Barry Mann (music) on the album Longer Fuse. It was also released as a single in 1977. It was Hill's biggest hit, peaking at #3 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. In 1996, U.K. dance singer Newton took the song to #32 in the U.K., and to #5 in Australia, where it went gold. Others who covered this include Tina Turner (1978), Cleo Laine and James Galway, Tammy Wynette, Susanne Alfvengren (Swedish version 1984), Rod Stewart (1996), Engelbert Humperdinck (2000), and Filipino boxing superstar Manny Pacquiao (2009).
