"Somethin' Stupid" was written by C. Carson Parks and recorded in 1966 by him and his wife. The song has been covered many times. The most well known version is by Frank Sinatra and his daughter, Nancy Sinatra. This spent four weeks at #1 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart, and nine weeks atop the adult contemporary chart. It is Mr. Sinatra's second gold single. It is the first and only father-daughter #1 song in America.

In 2001, British singer Robbie Williams recorded "Somethin' Stupid" with actress Nicole Kidman. It topped the UK Singles Chart and became Williams' first Christmas #1 single in the U.K. and #1 New Zealand, #4 in Australia. All earning Gold. It became his best selling single in Europe charting inside the top ten in most countries.
