Secret: Soundtrack

Secret: Soundtrack (Chinese: 不能說的祕密 電影原聲帶) is the soundtrack album for the 2007 Taiwanese movie Secret, produced, directed, and co-written by Jay Chou.

The album contains twenty-one instrumental tracks, composed or rearranged by Jay Chou and Thai musician Terdsak Janpan, together with four theme songs, including Secret (不能說的祕密), a Brit-style rock ballad performed by Chou. The track Piano Duel Medley (鬥琴) was rearranged by Chou based on Chopin's Waltz in C-sharp minor and Étude, Opus 10, No. 5. The track called The Swan is a piano concerto performed by Chou and Evergreen Symphony Orchestra, based on Le cygne, the thirteenth movement of The Carnival of the Animals by Camille Saint-Saëns.

Secret: Soundtrack was nominated for Best Original Score at the forty-fourth Golden Horse Awards in 2007. At the nineteenth Golden Melody Awards in 2008, the album was nominated for the following three awards, the latter two of which it won: Best Instrumental Album, Best Instrumental Album Producer (Jay Chou), and Best Instrumental Composer (Jay Chou and Terdsak Janpan) for the track called Piano Room (琴房).
