Paderewski's Menuet a l'Antique

Composed in 1887, Paderewski's famous Menuet a l'Antique is the first of six pieces for solo-piano from his Humoresques de Concert (Opus 14). For many years the Menuet was among the best known pieces of classical music.

Ignacy Jan Paderewski (1860 - 1941) was a Polish pianist, composer, diplomat, and the second Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland. A renowned piano virtuoso, he was also a substantial composer, writing many piano pieces and the opera Manru.
