No Game No Life

No Game No Life (Japanese: ノーゲーム・ノーライフ) is a series of nine Japanese novels written by Yuu Kamiya, and released between 2012 and 2016. Called "light novels" (ライトノベル), they are primarily targeted for teenagers.

The author and his wife, Mashiro Hiiragi, adapted the novels into a manga series in 2013. Subsequently, anime versions have been released. The opening anime musical-theme is called This Game, and is sung by Konomi Suzuki, who won the Animax All-Japan Anisong Grand Prix in 2011.

Yuu Kamiya (榎宮 祐), born in 1984, is a Brazilian-Japanese novelist and illustrator. His light-novel series No Game No Life, one of his several major works, was listed as one of the top-selling light novels in 2014, and was one of ten light-novel series to receive a Yomiuri Shimbun Sugoi Japan Award.
