My Soul, Your Beats!

My Soul, Your Beats! is a song from the soundtrack of the 2010 anime television series Angel Beats! (エンジェルビーツ!), whose screenplay and music were written by Jun Maeda. The song was released on a 2010 split-single with the song Brave Song. The two songs are respectively the opening and ending themes to Angel Beats! The split-single reached number-3 on Japan's Oricon weekly singles chart, selling about 80,000 copies in its first week of sales. It also ranked at number-7 on Billboard's Japan Hot 100.

Born in 1975, Jun Maeda (麻枝 准) is a Japanese writer/composer and co-founder of the software company Key. He has worked as a scenario writer, lyricist, and musical composer for Angel Beats! and for the visual novels Kanon, Air, Clannad, and Little Busters!. Before co-founding Key, Maeda worked for the company Tactics where he helped create two games: Moon. and One: Kagayaku Kisetsu e. He also wrote the manga series Hibiki's Magic.
