Misty

Misty is a jazz standard written in 1954 by Erroll Garner for his album Contrasts. Later Johnny Burke wrote lyrics. Misty was the signature song of Johnny Mathis, and the song has been covered by many artists including Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughn, Billy Eckstine, Frank Sinatra, and Ray Stevens. Misty played an important part in Clint Eastwood's 1971 movie Play Misty for Me. Both Errol Garner's version and Johnny Mathis' version were inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame.
