Mister Sandman

Mister Sandman is a song written by American songwriter Pat Ballard (1899 - 1960) and first recorded in 1954 by The Chordettes. The single reached number-one on the Billboard United States charts and number-eleven on the United Kingdom charts in 1954.

Numerous artists have recorded the song, including The Four Aces, Max Bygraves, Chet Atkins, Marvin Gaye, Jose Melis, The Supremes, and The Andrews Sisters. It has been featured in several television programs, including The Simpsons; and in several movie soundtracks, including Back to the Future, Nip/Tuck, Uncle Buck, and some of the Halloween films.
