Merry Widow Waltz

The Merry Widow Waltz is a piece from the operetta The Merry Widow (German: Die Lustige Witwe) composed by by Franz Lehár, with lyrics by Viktor Léon and Leo Stein. The operetta has enjoyed extraordinary international success since its 1905 premiere in Vienna and continues to be frequently revived and recorded. Movie and other adaptations have also been made. Well-known music from the score includes the Vilja Song, Da geh' ich zu Maxim (You'll Find Me at Maxim's), and The Merry Widow Waltz.

Franz Lehár (1870 - 1948) was an Austro-Hungarian composer. He is mainly known for his operettas, of which the most successful and best known is The Merry Widow.
