Menuet for Emma
Composed by Kunihiko Ryō and arranged by Kenji Kaneko, Menuet for Emma is the ending theme for the first season (2005) of the anime Emma - A Victorian Romance, an adaptation of the historical-romance manga Emma by Kaoru Mori. Set in Victorian London at the end of the 19th century, Emma is the story of a maid who falls in love with a member of the gentry.
The manga version of Emma was awarded an Excellence Prize at the 2005 Japan Media Arts Festival. The English translation was listed by Library Journal as one of the best graphic novels of 2007 and was named by the Young Adult Library Services Association as among the ten best graphic novels for teens for 2008.
